Arcane (Netflix): From the creators of League of Legends comes a new animated series, Arcane. Set in the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun, the story follows the origins of two iconic League champions-and the power that will tear them apart. All episodes of the second and final season will be available for streaming on Saturday.

Wrapping up this week is HBO’s The Penguin which has its finale on Sunday. That one counts as a limited series, though viewership has been good so a second season is possible. Just FYI, “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” S02E08 on 10/3 is the season finale. I’m really looking forward to S3, though if they follow the same schedule as S2, that won’t be until 2026 (*sigh*). Hey guys, I’m not getting any younger.

It’s about time they’ve released season 2 of The Ark. My understanding is they completed shooting 2 years ago. The show was then canceled without releasing it. Very frustrating. I’m really looking forward to it’s conclusion.

You miss The Ark on SyFy on the schedule, starting season 2 on July 17th, 2024. You had it on the premiere page.
I had a complete lapse and missed that along with Hit Monkey. Both are added to the schedule now, and I will address the gaffe in the next post.
Just FYI, the season finale of Dark Matter (episode 9) on Apple+ was 6/25/24.
Your link in the listing for next week for DARK MATTER is to the older TV series which ran for 3 seasons before being cancelled on a cliffhanger.
The new Apple series has *nothing* to do with the old series, other than the *title*.

That is a *super-fast* returning for its 2nd season for BEACON 23!
Its first season ended just last mid-December 2023! That just *5* months ago!
I have to suspect they were given the go-ahead for 2 seasons from the start — that is way, way *TOO* fast not only for production, but for all the post-production as well!

Season 2 was already completed at the time that Season 1 premiered. It was originally supposed to run as a Spectrum original and on AMC, but they dropped it. MGM+ picked up the two completed seasons but has not committed to anything beyond that as far as I have heard.
BTW… Quantum leap is no longer on hiatus. They just aired episode S02E07 last night and have S02E08 scheduled for 12/12.

The page has been up for over an decade. But perhaps it is time to clean off some of the older comments.
I believe what’s happened is, previously, the title/URL of these schedule pages included the week. A few months back you changed it to a single page, always with the same title/URL. I’m assuming this was the title/URL of this page originally. It looks like the switch to include the week occurred in 2021 (I know there are a lot of my own comments I made in the interim that are missing).

Salvation is on Monday Nights not Tuesday. The season 2 premier was on June 25th, Monday, June 25th.

Not that I am aware of. I would like to cover at least some of the shows from other countries, but there are already way too many running hear in the States!
I also never understood why Destination Truth, Haunted Hiway and Fact or Faked Paranormal Files were canceled, They were some of my favorite shows on SYFY. I also really liked Ghost Mine.
They got cancelled because you need the IQ of a potatoe (note spelling) to stand them. Try “Celebrity Ghost Stories” for the good stuff.
These shows as she mentioned were good “entertainment”. Not for their “truth” or “fact” but just good entertainment humour.

So many sci fi shows on these days, it’s hard to keep up with them all. And we didn’t realize that one was currently streaming. But will get it added.
So, Syfy is continuing on their mission to kill off “Haven” I see. First, they run off the Zuckerman sisters and give Shernold Edwards way too much leeway with her scripts..alienating the core fanbase (though they are too loyal to leave) and then they keep jerking around the show’s time slot. Leaving it at 7-8pm on Friday is definitely the death blow. If they actually wanted the show to succeed, they would have put it back at 10pm on Fridays, so the US and Canadian audiences could go back to watching the show at the same time (and Tweeting about it together) like we used to.

Dude you forgot Continuum and Salem which I am loving so far. Continuum is better than it has been and Salem is well nothing really like on tv right now. Very different witch show.
